Track Walk June 22nd Barber Motorsports Park

AMA Pro Road Racing makes its next stop at the Barber Motorsports Park June 22nd through the 24th for the Triumph SuperBike Classic. With six wins this season, Josh Hayes leads the way in the 2012 AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike series, just 20 points ahead of the hard charging Blake Young. Hayes, two-time AMA Road Racing SuperBike Champion, swept the weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI, on his Monster Energy Graves Yamaha R1 taking wins in races 1 and 2. However he is expected to start the weekend at Barber just a bit slower on June 22nd when he along with Monster Energy/Graves Motor Sports teammate Josh Herrin will join other riders and fans as they hit the 2.38 mile road course for Track Walk. The Track Walk will be free to all June 22nd ticket holders and Zoom Motorpsorts will be donating a portion of ticket sales for the day, to the Roadracing World Action Fund.

According to Zoom Motor Sports, other riders committed to make the walk are superbike riders Roger Hayden and Taylor Knapp along with Daytona Sportbike riders Jason DiSalvo, Jake Lewis, Cory West and Kyle Wyman. It’s your chance as a fan to walk the track at Barber Motorsports Park with some of the best riders on the AMA Pro Road Racing circuit while supporting a worthy cause in the Roadracing World Action Fund, whose mission is to prevent racetrack injuries. Tickets for the Triumph Superbike Classic start at just $15 and can be purchased at www.barbermotorsports.com. Kids 15 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult.
